  • Why did the currency and commodity page go away?

Currency screenshot still shows in App Store. Recent changes have not improved the app. It was the fastest way I have found keep track of world events. Would like a less slanted take on the news, but at least they are up front about their slant. Many links to other economist related stories, helps also.
  • Something’s missing...

...oh yeah! THE MARKETS AND CURRENCIES PAGE! Come on, Economist. I cannot fathom why you pulled the Markets and Currencies page out of Espresso. If you’re not bringing it back, you owe it to your subscribers to explain why. And if you are not bringing it back soon, for whatever reason, be prepared to start bleeding subscribers...including me. Bring it back!
  • When will we get the market / commodities back

I love this app, I don’t mind which order it comes in, what’s missing are the market / commodity indices. When will they return
  • What a ripoff. Shameful.

I’ve been a subscriber of The Economist for more than a decade. I recently renewed my subscription in the new iPad app, and discovered that I can no longer access The Economist content on the Web or on Android devices. This has always been possible: I subscribe to “The Economist”, not “The Economist on iOS devices only”. When I renewed, there was no disclaimer, no warning, not indication whatsoever that I will only be able to access my subscription on iOS devices. Is this a ploy to double-charge your subscribers, trying to get readers to pay for the same content separately on iOS and Android? Or just incompetence? Either way, this brings shame to the legacy of The Economist.
  • Overall Alright

The app could improve in the following areas: 1. Where did the market data go? 2. Allow audio playback like the actual app. Don't know why they didn't include that in this.
  • Notifications

I really liked this app, but over the past few months, the daily notifications have been glitching. I just don’t get them anymore. It really ruins the experience.

Espressos seem to be published somewhere between 7 and 9 am EST, which is long past the time I’ve already gotta be at work.
  • Calm, In A Sea of Bulls***.

To be able to simultaneously respect and also, sometimes, disagree with news reporting in an age of (fox) news-like entertainment feels settling. The Economist is my first read on most days.
