  • Major problem!

Take my warning! You better write the master PW on paper and put it in a safe deposit box or risk what is happening to me with this app!!! I'm locked out of it on every device even though I HAD MY SIGN IN SET TO FACE ID ON IPHONE AND FINGERPRINT FOR IPAD PRO!!! Yet for some reason my settings were reset and I'm unable to access ANYTHING! Don't offer biometric authentication if it isn't going to work properly!!! Written passwords can be stolen in multiple ways! I chose biometric authentication for a reason! I am using this very app so I can safely store my information and the fact that my biometric authentication is turned off randomly like this gives me reason to believe my account might have been compromised! A hacker would have to turn off biometric authentication in order to gain access... Its not MORE secure to randomly turn off face id! That is a very foolish feature if that is indeed what happened! Now my account is vulnerable! I am a full stack engineer and build architect so please understand I'm not guessing randomly here. I'm confident that this is severe incompetence on the developers end. This is my fault in the end though. I always avoided these password apps because they are actually very dangerous! You are putting trust in ONE service to safely store and secure your most sensitive information and what I'm dealing with is more common than you might think! Now I must find out whether malicious software is on my network and that means days of log reports and no guarantees! Thanks onepassword!
  • ESSENTIAL!

1Password is essential to me so I’m only knocking it down 1 star for the issue I describe below. However, I recently discovered what I would consider a security flaw. Customer support is helping me with the issue. But it appears that if you change your master password, older previously installed copies of 1Password can still access your information. I changed my master password to 1Password over 6 months ago, and several of my devices refuse to accept the new password. But what’s worse is that they DO accept my old password, which gives me full access to all my passwords, not just a snapshot of how my account was before I changed the password! So this means that if I were to have changed the password so that someone who used to have my password no longer has access, that would NOT have worked, and they would have full access. NOT GOOD, 1Password. I love you, but NOT GOOD. :)

How did we manage without it? I wonder! Just use it and only remember one password. Just as the advert says.

Superior UX to LastPass. Love the integrations, watchtower, and iOS one time pass auto-copy.

This app is well worth paying for! 1Password’s reputation is solid and well deserved. They really pay attention to the details of the app for user benefit. For example, one of the nice things they added as a feature is when you’re manually copying the username and pasting into a login, when you go back to the app for the password, it’s automatically copied into the clipboard. All you have to do is return to your login and paste. It may seem trivial, but anything that makes the process easier is welcome! As a feature request, what I’d like to see is auto fill or recommended auto fill of email/username logins that the app knows from other logins when manually creating a new entry on an iDevice. I’d say most people use many of the same usernames, and it’d make life easier if we didn’t have to type that in.
  • Much better user interface than ver 4.

Just started using ver 7. Seems to work more intuitively. But I’m so use to ver 4 that I still use it on my laptop. I’ll eventually migrate to ver 7 (I have both on my laptop). When i do, I will rate it 5 stars.
  • Loved it until the subscription model

I’ve been using it for many years, and recommending it to my IT clients but after the awkward transition to the subscription model I’m walking away. Update: on the whole it still works reasonably well, but it doesn’t let me modify entries on my android phone which I think are used to be able to do, or at any rate I should be able to do…
  • Seems Good so far

Takes a minute to add all your passwords but obviously there is no way around that.
  • Excellent and Very Easy To Use

Makes keeping strong passwords on all accounts and across all devices seamless and easy. I love the “compromised passwords” feature. If a company with whom you have login information experiences a breach, 1Password let’s you know that your password might have been compromised and recommends that you update your password. I love the password generator - numbers, symbols, special characters, upper case, lower case . There are a few interactions with the app that are a bit clunky but they are minor annoyances compared to the value this app provides for me.
  • increasingly worthless; always annoying

One of 1Password’s worst decisions, from a customer-centric perspective, was moving to a subscription model and automatically updating me to same after purchasing the app. After several fruitless emails, they did “allow” me to continue to use the apps (and trust me: their customer experience was among the worst I’ve encountered). The program may be secure—who really knows?—but if it’s this hard to use, then I’m not using it. Just a terrible experience and, increasingly, worthless. I’ll delete it.
