  • Doesn’t Work

Followed instructions, followed troubleshooting steps, didn’t work.
  • Horrendous

Functionality doesn’t work for chrome cast. Wanted to switch to watching live tv and it kept going back to a black screen for chrome cast that wasn’t working. Hotel chains and app developers should be embarrassed for this buggy non functional zombie app.
  • Chromecast for Android Phones crippled for iOS

    By Suleman123
This works great with an Android device and is little more than a remote for iOS. If you use an Android, you can Chromecast anything, like Netflix. If you use an iPhone, like most people, this is awful. It is not worthy of a good hotel service.
  • Could be better.

    By jasonchristopher76
Would be nice if I could stream Netflix and Hulu to the TV. Marriott is winning hotel entertainment right now. 20 bucks for an in room rental is outrageous.
  • Good idea, but does not work AT all

Omni should’ve gotten a smart tv and avoided all this bs. Then again they don’t even offer free WiFi without signing up for something.
  • Beware of sneaky charges

    By Margonthebus
This app is simple and easy to use. Takes 30 seconds to download the app and connect to your hotel room tv. Especially handy if the batteries in your remote are nearly dead, as they often are in hotels. HOWEVER, if you tap the wrong button they’ll sneak a $.99 charge on you. I hit said button and before I realized what was happening I’d been charged for a subscription to the TV guide feature. I need to figure out if this is a one-time fee or a subscription. Sneaky sneaky.
  • Terrible app

    By Psevoznik
I tried to use this joke app in three different hotels with my iPhone X. At the beginning it worked, but at some point it got disconnected and I couldn't hook it again. I read all the tutorials, closed all the apps, restarted the phone and called Hoidini. Nothing happened. No wonder why most reviews are like mine.
  • Does only what your hotel allows.

    By Videos? What videos?
Easy set up. TV guide subscription on your phone is $1/year. Works well. If your hotel pushes pay per view products, this app can do nothing more for you. If your hotel does NOT lock you in to PPV entertainment, the hotel can enable the app to allow you to stream your content from your device to the TV. I can say with certainty that Wyndham hotels love PPV, so no streaming for you.
  • Simply does not work

TV says it is connected, but iPhone says Sorry—could not connect. 100% reproducible. Silly waste of time.
  • Worked first time

I’m not sure if the other reviewers are just incompetent or what, but this app did exactly what I wanted and what it promised to do. Once connected thru the app, I opened Netflix on my phone and tapped the connect button and it was like having an Apple TV in my hotel room. Loved it! The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I did get randomly disconnected every now and then, but I bet that had more to do with the hotels wifi than this app. I hope it ends up in more hotels!
