The New Yorker informs, enlightens, and delights, with a unique blend of in-depth reporting, long-form narrative, political commentary, cultural criticism, humor, fiction, poetry, and visual storytelling. Founded in 1925, it is one of the most influential magazines in the world—regarded for its great writing, rigorous reporting, and sophisticated coverage of news and culture, nationally and internationally. With its unique breadth of talented writers, The New Yorker sets the standard for journalistic and literary excellence. There is nothing else quite like it, anywhere. The magazine app takes readers beyond the print edition with multimedia enhancements and features, including slide shows, videos, and audio recordings of New Yorker fiction writers and poets reading their work. If you're already a subscriber, you may have digital access included in your subscription. Download the app, and follow the prompts for “All Access” to link your account on your iPad or iPhone. • Relieved to find I quite like this app...

Was easy to learn - essentially you scroll up n dn to read an article, and swipe left and right to switch articles. Each Table of Contents includes instructions too. Easy!
  • Like a creepy co-worker

The New Yorker app is basically the creepy co-worker who keeps asking you out despite you A) keep saying “no.” B) have been married to him/her for 14 years. I’ve been a subscriber to the app version of the New Yorker since there was an app, but nowhere on the app does it acknowledge this and it keeps asking me if I’d like to subscribe. I subscribe via the apple app store so it’s possible that the New Yorker considers me some sort of 2nd class/steerage subscriber, but, if this is true then I want to pay a 2nd class/steerage rate. I want the app to remember I’m a subscriber and say, Welcome Subscriber, every time I log into it. (I want the letters of this message to be iridescent, and have a Tiffany’s silver shimmer.) And I want to stop having to restore my purchases. We’re married, remember? Now stop asking me out. Thanks.
  • Lack of integration w social media

I use Facebook as one source for aggregating stories of interest from various sources. New Yorker fails to integrate with my iTunes subscription, so I read my 10 links a month and give up - I can’t be bothered to open the app and find the story of interest

Love this app, and would rather use over NYer Today. Can you please optimize to new iPad Pro models?
  • Unreliable app. Poor nav and text display.

Extremely buggy. App has to be erased and reinstalled regularly to download issues. The navigation is awkward, and the text display is very poor — unnecessary restrictions on making text larger.
  • Most. Useless. App. Ever.

It’s a magazine but you cannot it read with this app. I literally cannot move from one page to the next.
  • Content is amazing. App, not so much

The app is so poorly designed that I exclusively reach for the print version instead. Sadly in today’s Mobile culture, that generally means I don’t end up reading or sharing much of the amazing content. The app needs fixing badly and needs to be part of their growth strategy for the future.
  • I love the New Yorker, but this app is terrible

Why is this app so awful? Well it was designed for iPhone 6, it often bugs out and quits, it sometimes gets rid of all the magazines you had downloaded, it logs you out and sometimes is difficult about linking your subscription, and it looks ugly, despite the beauty of the magazine itself. I just want an app that does justice to the amazing work done for this mag.
  • Dark mode!

If you’re not going to allow exporting to reader apps like Pocket, then save us the eye strain and offer dark view mode.

The app is so poor I never enjoy it and I sometimes can’t even figure out if I have a sub. I feel I’ve wasted money for this. Absolutely awful.
