  • Better to read online with a web browser?

    The app on an iPad is disappointing. There’s no search or bookmarking feature, but the worst aspect is its inconsistent response to scrolling and page swiping. Too often I have to make several swiping attempts before the page changes. Equally frustrating is the occasional and unwanted page change that occurs when simply trying to scroll vertically.
  • The app is still awful

    After several years of unbelievably poor performance, the TNY app is still one of the worst I have ever used. New issues don’t load, old issues disappear, the app randomly logs me out and crashes. The only disparity between the content and its method of delivery greater than this, that I can think of, is if Trump delivered MLK Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech. Update (April 9th, 2019): still awful - new issues fail to load or even appear, app keeps logging me out.

    We love this magazine, but you need to put out a cover that has the Statue of Liberty with Donald Trumps head on the statue with his hand out in a stop position with the words “don’t send me your tired etc. etc. Nick
  • Log in problems

    I can log in just fine on the New Yorker website, but the app (and the New Yorker Today app) will not recognize my log in and subscription.
  • Awful App

    Love the content, but it's almost impossible to navigate back to the menu. It usually takes me several minutes of trying every possible way before the menu finally appears and I'm able to get to a new issue or a new section of the issue I'm reading.
  • The worst way to consume The New Yorker

    The app works fine for me to read the issues. I’d just love it if it allowed for negative reading with a black background and white lettering, pretty please?
  • iPad readability is poor

    The sharing buttons on the bottom left cause so much white space and the text is justified in a strange way that I find it rather unpleasant to read on my iPad. iPhone version is fine. Developers please allow us am easy way to justify center and hide the sharing buttons.
