Interactive weather map
Our new weather map can be easily customized to show you a variety of weather conditions on Long Island and around the world. It also has a future cast that shows you what the next six hours look like and lets you easily track rain, snow and storms. You can save up to 10 locations for quick reference.

 Interactive traffic map

Our new traffic map lets you see up-to-the-minute traffic conditions, plus you can use it to find the fastest route between any two locations in New York and New Jersey. You can save your favorite routes and see live traffic cameras, gas stations and any traffic jams along the way. You can also report traffic accidents or construction you see to share with other drivers.
Section swipe and customized navigation

Our redesigned navigation also lets you customize which sections you want to see and the order you see them in. You can also customize sections for news and information in your community. Sports scores
You can now view full stats from all of your favorite pro sports teams on the scores pages, and see all upcoming games.

  • We love our local newspaper.

Local sports and news for LI is all I need.
  • Best local newspaper

    By LidoChris
I still look at Newsday as our hometown paper. But, they still hit hard and keep local politicians and businesses honest and accountable. At a time when local papers are closing left and right, and people are more beholden to the internet for the news, the TRUTH becomes much more suspect. Keep it up.

    Not worth it

Great local coverage but national issues too “left leaning”. It’s so obvious that objective neutral commentaries are a thing of the past!
  • Fake News Editorials and content !

Start spreading the news ! Not Fake News !!

Nobody will ever pay for this rag. I wouldn’t line my bird cage with it.
  • Errors

Does anyone actually spellcheck your articles. Or even proof them? I’ve never seen any publications with so many errors!!!!

No reporting anymore, repeating Ny Times stories with the same bias. No diversity of opinion.
  • The best

I love Newsday and read it every day. I think it has the best information and interesting stories about the people who live here. I enjoy all parts of the paper and I am collecting your series about Long Island. I think you go way over and above as a newspaper. Keep up the good work!
  • App takes your money and doesn’t work

By Only works for short quotes
I have had the Newsday app for YEARS, and never had a problem accessing it when it was free. Now that I am paying monthly for the subscription, there is often a problem logging in, and now I can’t log in at all. I put my login credentials in and it tells me the account doesn’t exist, and yet, money is still deducted for my allegedly nonexistent subscription. And I shouldn’t have to call to have this fixed, if Newsday wants to charge for it’s app, then Newsday should see to it that the app works. As is evident from the reviews, I’m not the only subscriber having this problem.
