  • Cheat Day Feature

    I love my fitness pal, it’s the easiest app to use regarding calorie counting and weight loss, that being said though, I think having a cheat day feature for all users (not just premium) would be amazing!! Often times when I’m at a party or family gathering, tracking my calories takes the fun out of whatever we are celebrating, at the same time, I don’t want to lose my streak. Having the option to check off if you are having a cheat day while not affecting your streak would be the perfect addition for this app!!

    I have the premium version. Would be great with a few features. 1. Would be nice if there could be some food suggestions based on what nutrients are needed for the balance of the day. 2. If you were able to change the amount of calcium that you need based on specific needs. 3. Would like to have each foods glycemic index listed.
  • Pretty good but annoying problems

    First off, I did lose 60 pounds with this app, so it’s not terrible. The database of foods is pretty extensive and it’s pretty easy to use. The problems are mostly on the exercise side. It only gives you credit for one kind of exercise per day. If you ride bike for instance and add that, it deletes all your steps for the day. It’s pretty obnoxious and requires you to keep separate track of everything you do and then lie to the app at the end of the day in order to get an accurate read. The other problem is the incessant demands to sign up for the paid version. Sorry, but I’m not paying for an app that can’t handle simple arithmetic.

    I use this app religiously, however, I really wish there was a note section when inputting recipes so we could put in what to set the oven to, how long you bake, and other things like this.

    I’ve installed the app over and over and still can’t actually make an account or get passed the information screen. I’ve tried signing up with Facebook and multiple emails. I also tried signing in just in case I made one and it didn’t show or something. Nothing. I would really like to use the app but I can’t even get through the signing up stage!
  • Great app but.....

    I’ve used your app for close to three years and have had no problems until now. I’ve entered the food I’ve eaten and calories burned for last week as always. However, when I view the weekly recap it says that I didn’t enter anything. Is this functional only if you upgrade? If so, why give me that as a notification if I am only on basic. One other thing I notice when I walk - the system updates my calories burned but, on a day when I rest between exercise, it has a tendency to subtract calories burned. This only involves a few (less than ten) but if I’ve burned them then there needs to be no change in calories unless I burn more. Another question: If the app records calories burned during the day why, then, does it subtract them entirely if I go to the gym, exercise and enter in a calorie count for treadmill, for example. All I’m left with is the number of calories I burned at the gym. I should have both amounts. These frequent subtractions are getting irritating.
