AppleTV review Loses your account daily. Have to reactivate every day lately. Why does the AppleTV remote pause button work only to pause but not resume? Who the heck thought that was a good idea? Why can I only scroll forward on the touch control surface in video when I’m paused? When you open the app, it starts playing audio from whatever is on ESPN. (I think. I never confirm the channel.). That’s annoying. The shows in the ESPN+ section randomly move all over the place from day to day. I only have a few things I like to watch but I am always hunting around for where they went today. That’s what will end up making me quit the app and service. The video itself is fine but you can’t see what the resolution is nor specify a desired resolution either.

This app fails on many levels. Being nit picky, the app is glitchy and rough in navigation, the text and icons get stuck and have glitchy displays. The app crashes often. If wifi or cellular data are even somewhat low, the app barely functions. You can't view a teams full schedule, they only display a certain amount in the window which makes absolutely no sense. IVE NEVER SEEN AN APP THIS SLOW
  • Buggy with Blank Screen, Don’t Bother Downloading.

I have downloaded and re-downloaded the app at least 5 times as of writing this review. The app randomly will open with a blank screen, no buttons or display at all, staying like this until I try to open it again and kicking me out. I have tried closing out of the app and waiting an hour to no avail so I’ve been forced to delete and download the app a myriad of times. On top of this their article writing is pathetic. A prime example being the title of the Chiefs vs. Texans game (10/13/2019) article. It states that the Chiefs overcame the Chiefs, when the Texans won. I pointed this out to them via twitter and Instagram but they have yet to respond or even change the article title to an accurate one. ESPN has turned into a Buzzfeed style sports content company. It’s disappointing to see how far they’ve fallen since the acquisition by Disney. It’s also interesting to note that their parent company, Disney, also experiences lots of issues with their apps. Maybe instead of focusing on churning out useless articles they could look inward and fix their clear infrastructure issues.

It constantly force closes, rarely works efficiently an updated slowly. I don’t know how the “worldwide leader in sports” could have such a terribly managed app. Constant bugs. Screw ESPN

ESPN app has so many problems. Updates on games are often slow or just wrong. Or it will do what mine does once a week and crash as soon as you open it. This is the only review I’ve ever written on here just to say how trash this app is.
