  • Unethical; bad business practices

    I was using the free version of the service and then I tried to access my files one day and when I logged in I was met with a screen that said “Alert! Not backed up!” And it said that my trial of Keeper Unlimited has ended. I couldn’t access my files (vault). I realize that I am using the free version but I have been for years with no problems and now it seems like I’m being forced to upgrade. I emailed support and sent screenshots and got a response from someone telling to log out and back in. Whatever she did she fixed it but the next day it started again. I emailed support again and they started taking extremely long to respond to my request. I explained that I couldn’t access my files and someone replied and asked me what I was doing when my files got erased. I didn’t say they got erased, I said I couldn't access them because they barred my access to force me to upgrade my membership! The responses were not appropriate for the issue. They were dancing around my concern and not addressing it directly, saying I had the free version and could only access my account from one device. I know that!!!! Even trying to access my vault from my one device isn’t working!!!! So then he offered me a discount to upgrade my membership. I don’t understand how this became a business practice but this behavior is disgusting and unethical. To lock someone out of their files and deny them the free service in an attempt to force them to upgrade is really low.

    My wife and I are sharing passwords. Most of the time the info shared is incomplete and not correct. What’s going on ? Not sure, but definitely, there is a problem. I’ve used this app since it’s appearance. And it was reliable until “folder and file” option showed up in 2017.
  • Extortion!

    Stay away from this app. I’ve been using this app for over 5 years. After the latest iOS update the app wouldn’t open unless I updated to the new version. Now i get a message saying my “free trial” has expired (in April 2014) and I must pay $29.95 if I ever want to see my passwords again. The developer is holding my information hostage unless I pay up. Very unethical.

    I have had this app for years using the free version. I never paid for the upgrade. The website says that once the 30 day trial expires , you can still use the app but it just will not sync etc. No problem, I have still used it for years without any problem. UNTIL, I updated the app on my iPhone. Once you do the update on the app, it locks you out and you cannot access your passwords or any of your info that you have entered over the years. It says you must pay the upgrade fee of $30 . I spoke with support and they said even if I did pay the $30 upgrade , they would only be able to pull up the info that was entered in the 30 day free trial period. I lost 70 entries of passwords etc. that I had entered throughout the years! What a disappointment! I do not recommend this app!!

    I downloaded this app and had not yet started using it when within a couple of weeks I received an email saying there is a possible security risk and I needed to buy and download another (paid) app or program to address the issue. Sorry, NOT gonna buy something else to fix something that is supposed to be a secure app to begin with. You lose this one!
  • App crashing can’t get in the app

    Edit: After 10 days the app is working again, I never received a response to my email. Every time I log into the app, it crashes within 3 seconds. I can see that my passwords are intact but I can’t access the passwords before the app crashes. I emailed this company and they are ignoring me! I’ve lost all of my passwords!!!! I have a IPhone 8s and shouldn’t have any problems. The last time I was able to successfully access the app was in March 2019. I’ve been using this app for years this is upsetting.

    I have used Keeper for several years. I locked myself out over the weekend ... and the support staff were AWESOME. I am 70 years old and not computer savvy (I guess that is why I have Grandchildren 😃) The staff was very helpful and took time to get me back on. Awesome APP and support team is awesome as well.

  • Awesome App to secure passwords

    I have been a Keeper user for quite some time. I am very pleased. I recently received notification that my account is about to expire but I’m ok cause it is set up for auto renewal. I don’t know why but I looked at some reviews on password manager apps. They say Keeper is by far the best but pricey. Why pay for it when you can get it free. Personally I think the price is worth it. Keeper allows seamless changes/updates across all my devices. I can allow Keeper to generate strong passwords rather than using my old method where many of them are duplicates. Not good. Keep up the good work Keeper Developers. I will allow the auto renewal to take place.
