Omnifocus is the GTD app that candidate ”Get Things Done”. I've been using OmniFocus since its inception and am a second generation use. No matter how small the MacOS market was, I pittied PC users for their lack of access to OmniFocus. It's not about just GTD, its how you get things done and while making it stupidly easy to use and learn, incredibly customizable with limitless potential. In all seriousness, I can’t imagine why they'd buy FileMaker or Claris but don't own the single best Mac exclusive software developer. Honestly, considered your continued innovation, logical progression and continuously constant updates, I'm more than happy to see you independent. While your software is on the expensive side, I find it a no issue with that especially since you haven't adopted a a subscription model and due to your top notch support.for current and legacy products and willingness to listen your community. My planning philosophy is based on all the software and apps you produce. It was just the solution that most parallel with they way I want to think. Kudos Omnigroup and thank you for OmniFocus (and leaving omnipresence free, I don't know how to find an alternative).
  • iOS version is a FAIL

Apparently they have two different graphic design teams working on the Mac version and the iOS version. The Mac version is WAY easier to use. iOS version? Ugly as sin with ugly white UI that presents a "wall of text". Pro tip; take a look at “Wunderlist" for some design tips. Oh, one more thing, why in the heck can you not add a action directly into a sub folder?! Are you seriously telling me that you have to add it to the bottom of a lonnnnng list and drag it up and then re-position it? FAIL

I spent a fair amount of money to purchase the pro version and now I can’t even access it with IOS 11. Very disappointing!
  • Lots of crashes

In so many times, omnifocus suggests reporting the crash report. But even worse, reporting page doesn’t allow me to send the message! (Send button is always disabled.)

I had Omnifocus opened in split-screen view with Safari. I swiped left to close the split and my top-level folder with a half dozen projects in it was deleted instead. I far as I can tell, there is no way to undo this. Assuming that the user wants to delete half of the database with a single swipe and no confirmation is bad UI design. I was only off by a few millimeters. Don't trust your data to this product unless you never make mistakes.

Omnifocus can be whatever I want it to be. It has the flexibility and the power to serve up my tasks anyway I want. I get alerts and a shopping list when i go to the store. I get my morning list every morning. The correct list of what I can do and need to do shows up when I need it. It is clean, solid, syncs quickly everywhere and the support is second to none.

...In that I don’t really enjoy using it, but since it’s the still best option, I will pay a large sum of money to get the job done. Please consider rethinking the home screen layout, it just isn’t very useful and makes it hard to see what I need to at a glance. Get another UI person to come up with some ideas or something. I don’t know, I’m just an idea guy. Please consider bringing over the colors/bolder fonts from the Mac app, that while aren’t perfect, still add a lot in terms of visual cohesion and the ability to make sense of things in a somewhat cluttered interface. Please use more white space so it’s easier to tell items apart. It just looks like a cluttered mess of text most of the time. This is still the best option, and really the only app out there that can scale with the volume and complexity of your projects. Also, review is great for gtd. But please, pretty please, overhaul the interface with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and easy differentiation between items on the screen. This should have been the focus of the update, imo. What I’m paying for instead is iPhone XR screen size, the ability of the app to not crash constantly like OF2 does now, and tags. Which are great. Making great apps is a hard thing and you folks are trying your hardest, but I doubt I’m the only one who thinks the interface could be improved. Thanks for reading.

App requires you to purchase a 14- day free trial at which you will be billed after 14 days. I tried the app for 1 day and hate it and want out of the subscription but companies make it so difficult to get out!
