  • Unbelievable

I laude the concept of an app and happy to pay usd 10 per month but the performance of this app is abominable. Only works half of the time. And this is associated with the pinnacle of technological development ?! Somebody should get fired
  • Does not mirror correctly from iPad

Mirroring from iPad doesn’t work correctly, aspect ratio is not 16:9 in my lcd TV. An Apple TV app will be great!
  • No In-Car Camera or Team Radio ?

I replayed parts of Aussie GP several times ... in-car video and radio doesn’t seem to be available until 45 mins into broadcast. Disappointed.
  • Has worked seamlessly for me thus far

I really don’t understand why this app has so many one star reviews. I just finished watching a replay of the Australian Grand Prix, and F1 TV works perfectly across all of my devices. If you too are a Formula 1 fanatic, this app is well worth the modest subscription fee.
  • Missing several drivers

Just finished watching Melbourne 2019 on the F1 app. I watched several minutes of onboard coverage, only to discover that Bottas, Kubica and others cannot be selected to watch their onboard camera. Their names are missing from the list. Please fix that! Would’ve really liked to watch those feeds today. Still no AirPlay support.
  • No casting, no good

No casting via Chromecast or Roku is a dealbreaker. Work around is to view via PC on chrome then cast the tab, however this results in downgraded quality and shoddy audio. Seriously, this should be the first, most basic feature. Who wants to be stuck watching an F1 race on a 5” screen?? Also - the web interface lacks app features and no PIP. PIP on the app is ok at best but desperately needs the ability to choose a primary and secondary so you’re not squinting. At Melbourne none of the driver cams were broadcasting on the app anyhow, so there’s that too. Overall the interface is clunky. Then there was the live feed buffering throughout the first 20 min of the race. No way will I pay $10/mo or $80/yr for this unfinished app. ESPN+ for me for now and I’ll just wait the 2 hours for the playback. If you have access to live programming there’s even less of a reason to subscribe to this until it’s all fixed, you’ll just have a whole lot of aggravation and disappointment. What the devs were thinking is beyond me.

  • Not as good as WEC or IMSA apps

This app isn’t good enough yet. It needs a major investment to get on par with competitors. While most people have complained about coverage from the track, this app has foundational issues like: - The app starts in portrait. I can’t stress this enough, no one uses an iPad in portrait. Period. This is probably also the source of the Apple Airplay issue many have reported. - The start screen is filled with spoilers. If you’re not watching live then you’ll be spoiled by the highlights at the bottom. Those should be covered or lower... - The video lacks basic controls found in all video players. The time bar does not get bigger when touched, so it’s impossibly small to operate. There is no preview so you can’t tell where you’re moving the timer to in the race. You can’t look for key moment. There is no jump 10 seconds forward or back. There is no pause on the screen so you have to tap twice to get it paused. - Adding multiple views leads to app crashes. - Not all onboards we’re working for Australia. This is a key feature you’re charging US$65 for and it doesn’t work as advertised.
  • Horrendous Buffering Issues - images and Sound

Extremely disappointed, videos and different cameras slow to load, in some cases the buffering wheel showed up indefinitely and had to shut down the app and restart. Tested on iPhone, iPad and web, all very recent devices, my internet connecting clocked at 180 Mbps, my Mac was wired! In this day an age to have buffering problems is completely unacceptable for a paid platform There are free/best effort platforms that can outperform this service bought a whole year year subscription after I received and offer via email with a discount, even with the discount this is not worth it I do not recommend it F1TV you need to step up and fix your delivery problems
